Coach Adam - The Equalizer!

Last week saw Coach Adam and the Houston Dutch Lions run out comfortable 4-2 winners against Titans Revolution TFC, with Adam getting amongst the goals yet again. (Read more here)

This past Sunday (10/02/16) saw the Dutch Lions taking on United Rovers in their HFA Division 1A clash, where they were looking to keep their unbeaten start to the season going.

The game did not start the way the Dutch Lions expected or hoped as they found themselves 2-0 down inside the first half. Just before the break, the Dutch Lions managed to get themselves 1 goal back and go into halftime down 2-1.

Coach Adam did not get much playing time in the first half but made an immediate impact when he came on midway through the second half by slotting home from a cross from close range to level the game at 2-2 and get his 5th goal in 3 games.

The Dutch Lions couldn't break down United Rovers in the final 15 minutes, where they had plenty of great opportunities to score and the game finished 2-2. A well-deserved point, especially coming back from a 2 goal deficit.

Coach Steve - Road To Recovery

After last weekend's tough double header, and coming away with wins in the league and the cup, Coach Steve found himself recovering from a quad strain and was unable to attend the HFA Division 2A match between University SC and The Gunners.

From the match report Steve received from the manager, it looks like it wasn't our finest performance with University SC falling to a 3-0 defeat.  Next weekend will be better because Coach Steve expects to be fit and ready for action...can't say his play will be any better 😳.

Steve did find himself back in action on Monday night for the Stingrays in their HWSA Division 3 matchup with Dolls and Balls II at Houston Sports Park.

It seemed like it was just one of those nights...plenty of chances to score, plenty of missed opportunities. Coach Steve's quad muscle did well and held up pretty well but he couldn't help his team from losing 4-2 on the night.

Next weekend sees Coach Adam's Dutch Lions taking on Houston Brew while Coach Steve's University SC gets to face Houston Viet FC. Hopefully both sides will be back to winning ways!
