Coach Adam - Celebrate like everyone is watching

Last weekend saw Adam continue his scoring streak and taking him to 6 goals in 4 games with a goal against Houston Brew, and guessed it...he was back amongst the goals again!

This weekend's game was against Cypress United and was Adam's toughest game mentally. Having spent the first half being barraged by abuse and late challenges Adam could not find his rhythm and at times chased the game to get his goal.

The Dutch Lions had already got themselves 2 goals before allowing Cypress United to take advantage of sloppy possession to get 1 goal back. The second half saw Adam regain his focus and also take charge of a bewildering situation.

After showing frustration at letting in 4 goals already, Cypress United's goalkeeper decided to go up for a corner...when they were 4-1 down...with 9 minutes left of the game 🤔 😳 😂 😂 😂.

As you may imagine, the 5ft goalkeeper didn't do too well at winning the corner at the back post and the Dutch Lions countered with a through ball to Adam on the half way line.

Adam managed to run from halfway, whilst a chasing defender tried to pull him back, take his shirt and put him off but he was cool and calm to finish at close range into the open net and take the Lions to a 5-1 victory.

Upon seeing the Goalkeeper walking back to the goal Adam made sure he thanked him for the gift of an open goal, mentioned that the goalkeeper probably should have stayed in goal and that he can get professional goalkeeper coaching from Coach Steve with the Goalkeeper Technical Program.

Coach Adam now finds himself with 7 Goals in 5 and in fine form for the next run of games.

Coach Stephen - Part Time Player, Full Time Camera Man

With Coach Stephen injured from his last game, he had to sit out this weekends University SC clash, which saw them fall to a 4-1 loss.

in the meantime, Coach Stephen found himself being Full Time camera man for Coach Adam and his game. Still needing to work on his camera skills, he still managed to get Coach Adams goal...just!

With the hopes of returning to Soccer next weekend, Coach Stephen has been making sure to keep his injured quad rested and iced.

I know some of the readers will be concerned that Coach Stephen isn't gracing the soccer field but don't worry...he will be back soon! #GetWellSoonStephen

Coach Adam will be looking to take his goal scoring streak and the Dutch Lions unbeaten streak into next weekends game against United Select.

Coach Stephen, if he makes the pre match fitness test, will be looking to get University SC back on track against Forza EFC.

Until next time...
