Severe Flooding at Bob Lutts ParkToday I went to visit the field to see if there was any flooding. Unfortunately when I went to the field, there was substantial flooding in the parking lot and parts of the field. Due to this fact, Britannia Soccer Academy is cancelling Individual Technical Program sessions from Tuesday April 19, 2016 to Friday April 22, 2016 to allow the field to dry out. Looking ahead, there is more rain and thunderstorms coming in the next couple of days, but on a positive note the end of the week and weekend look to be sunny and dry possibly allowing the field to dry out. I plan on revisiting the field on Friday April 22, 2016 to see if the flooding has gone down. I will send an e-mail to parents as well as post on Facebook, Twitter, social media, and the website to inform everyone if sessions are still on. If the field is still flooded and unplayable on Saturday morning, we may end up rescheduling Saturday's session (4/23) to Sunday (4/24). We will let you know by the end of the day on Saturday if sessions will be on Sunday, or the weather has beaten us again and we will reschedule at a later date. Hopefully by then the flooding will be gone. Everyone at Britannia Soccer Academy understands that the field is not the only place that has flooded or had damage due to the extreme weather. If you have any major damage or are unable to get to the field this weekend due to that damage, please let us know as soon as possible. We apologize for this inconvenience, but as always although we can control the soccer ball, we cannot control the Texas weather. Thank you for understanding and please stay safe.
