Due to the huge impact that Hurricane Harvey has had on our community and the whole of South Texas, the field that we have been using for the last 2+ years had seen a substantial amount of flooding which we had never seen before.
We believed that over the course of a few days without rain, like we have seen in the past, we would be back to normal and so would our programs, but this was not to be the case as we were notified on Thursday morning (9/7/17) that the field was to be closed to the public and used as a waste site for debris after Hurricane Harvey.
This now means that the field we looked after, maintained and spent many hours working on is unavailable and will be a constant reminder of the damage Hurricane Harvey has brought to our community.
But...the good news is we have a temporary place to call home!
Travis High School, located on Harlem Rd, has allowed us to use their facility this Sunday (9/10/17) for our Player Development Academy program.
Travis High School 11111 Harlem Rd, Richmond TX 77406We will be located on the grass inbetween the two baseball fields adjacent to Harlem Rd.
ALL Sessions will be at their original times
Under 7 - 3:00 pm to4:00 pm
Under 16 - 3:00 pm to 4:15 pm
Under 13 - 4:15 pm to 5:30 pm
Please make sure to bring your cleats, shin guards, water and bug spray.
As Hurricane Harvey has caused chaos to everyone's lives we are working hard to make sure we can find a new home for Britannia so please bare with us while we do so.
We appreciate your support and we look forward to seeing you all back out on the field on Sunday!
