Stephen Williams began his coaching career in England by assisting his local boys' team, the Balsall and Berkswell Hornets U13's. He began coaching for two reasons; one was due to his love of the game, second was to help coach his younger brother who was playing on the team. Stephen was quickly promoted to Assistant Manager for two and a half seasons due to his oversight of weekly coaching sessions for the team and teaching the students lessons that they can transfer off the field.

During the next two years, Stephen coached for an international company that brings outstanding soccer coaches from Europe to teach children soccer across to the United States. The coaching sessions for the younger players allowed them to enjoy the fun of the sport while learning the basics of soccer. The older age groups focused on teaching them strategies of the game and increasing their natural abilities.

Over the summer Stephen took up the role of Camp Director where he organized and coordinated all the summer camps that took place in the Houston area. During this time he fell in love with Houston, so when it came time to pick a place to start up his soccer coaching business, Britannia Soccer Academy, Houston was the obvious choice.

From an early age Derek Williams loved to play soccer. During his school life he played for many soccer teams, both local and schools, leading to his selection at County level for Birmingham City Schools. From the age of 15 until around 35 years of age, he played open age soccer at a competitive level.

As Stephen, his oldest son grew up, Derek took the opportunity to teach him all about soccer and coach him on the different soccer positions. When Adam, Derek's youngest son, began to play soccer, Derek took the opportunity to help out and later become coach of Adam's soccer team. In order to continue coaching at this level, it is a requirement for all coaches to take courses to acquire a FA Level 1 Award in Coaching soccer which he duly obtained. Derek continued to coach Adam's soccer teams as Adam progressed as a player. During this time, Derek, having sold his own company and retired, began to investigate the possibility of setting up his own soccer skills coaching company along with his family. When his oldest son Stephen came back from coaching in the United States, Derek decided to move his family from England to Houston, TX in order to share his love and passion for soccer.

Since making the decision to pursue this new career path, Derek attended the 2015 NSCAA (National Soccer Coaches Association of America) annual conference in Philadelphia, PA, to gain additional qualifications and coaching resources. Derek's current goal in the business is to continue to develop young soccer players' skills, in order to help them reach their full potential, not just to win their next match.

Now living and working in the United States, Derek is undertaking various American soccer qualifications in order to further develop his own coaching ability. Derek states that in all sports, development should never stop for both players and coaches.
